|He joined Ho Ho Bank in 1924 and rose to become the bank branch manager in Hong Kong and Penang. When OCBC was formed out of merger of Ho Ho Bank and two other banks he became its manager cum secretary.|
A B Jordan, Secretary for Chinese Affairs, wrote the tomb inscription. There used to be a road Chua Keh Hai Road named after him.
