Birth / Death: 1825 - 1892
Family History:

Son of Tan Tock Seng. His grandson Tan Boo Liat is also buried in Bukit Brown

Notable contributions to Singapore:




Philanthropist and leading chinese merchant in Singapore, leader of Hokkien Huay Kuan for many years.
Consul of Japan, Thailand and Russia, also member of the Royal Court of Siam.
Kim Ching Street is named after him.



Remarks:



Look out for his numerous titles on his grave : Consul of Thailand, Chinese Kapitan, and 2nd ranking Qing Dynasty Imperial Title.
